Kate Moss Struts Her Stuff In Thigh High Boots For Stuart Weitzman. A Look At The Film, The Boots And Behind-The-Scenes.

Shot by Mario Testino, this 2 minute and 18 second black and white short film (or long commercial, if you prefer), Made For Walking, is part of the 2013 Fall ad campaign for Stuart Weitzman in which supermodel Kate Moss struts her sexy stuff through the streets of London turning the heads of everyone from kissing couples to a transgender waitress.

Throughout the film, set to Nancy Sinatra's fabulous "These Boots Were Made For Walking", she's wearing some of the brand's coolest new boots - including the brand's iconic 5050 over-the-knee boots which are part of the label's upcoming 20th anniversary celebration collection.

Mario Testino, Moss and Weitzman have worked together before. “Shooting the campaign with Mario is always fun and, with such a great team, it really doesn't feel like work.” says Kate.

Stuart Weitzman, Made For Walking

A Poet, An Astronaut, a Photographer and A Model in Cole Haan's New Ad Campaign + Videos (And A Look Behind The Scenes).

In 1928 Trafton Cole and Eddie Haan created the Cole Haan brand and to celebrate their 85 year history, they've launched a campaign, "Born in 1928", photographed by Daniel Jackson.

The print and digital campaign features individual portraits reminiscent of the Blackglama and old GAP campaigns, both of whom used famous personalities posed in their clothes and shot in black and white.

The Cole Haan campaign features writer and poet winner Maya Angelou, photographer Elliott Erwitt, astronaut of Apollo 13 Mission Jim Lovell and model China Machado - all of whom are 85 years old (except Machado who is 84).

Shown below, clockwise from upper left, are China Machado's modeling photo, Maya Angelou's I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, one of Elliott Erwitt's fabulous photos and Jim Lovell on the cover of LIFE:

"They are all vibrant examples of how timelessness and true style are born out of confidence - and that never expires," said Cole Haan vice president of marketing Erin Riley. "They are as relevant today as they were in the past, and they all represent various perspectives that we thought would resonate with our consumer."

All of the personalities wore Cole Haan shoes including the official campaign shoe, the Silver Limited Edition Lunar Grands, worn by Jim Lovell (below):

"There's real clarity and real conviction for what we want the brand to stand for and what we are committed to bringing to light in all of our channels from advertising to marketing," Riley said, explaining that this includes looking the brand's heritage to inform its future.

The campaign was shot in New York at Pier 59 by Daniel Jackson and styled by Tiina Laakkonen.

"We need to look back to look forward," Riley concluded. "At the same time, we are a very modern brand and we don't want to be perceived as a traditional heritage brand. We're more about attitude than an age group."

The black-and-white photo portion of the campaign debuted on Sept. 3 and has launched on colehaan.com, their social media networks, and in its store windows. Next month the ads will appear in November issues of GQ, Elle, Vogue and Vanity Fair, among others. Billboards featuring the campaign will pop up in major cities like Chicago, New York, San Francisco and Toronto.

37 Years Of The Brown Sisters. Four Sisters Photographed Annually From 1975 - 2012.

Nicholas Nixon, who teaches at Massachusetts College of Art, is one of the most celebrated American photographers of our generation. Among the most compelling of his series of photographs are the portraits he has made of his close-knit family which, taken over time, explore the nature of long-committed relationships.

His Brown Sisters series features an ongoing sequence of celebrated portraits of his wife, Bebe, and her three sisters; Heather, Mimi and Laurie. Taken annually, beginning in 1975, the unpretentious black and white portraits of the Brown Sisters reveal gradual changes in their appearances and shifts in their relationships over the past 37 years.

Nixon says of the project "I really try hard to make the pictures as interesting formally as I possibly can. One of my clear visual tricks is that I like open sky, cause I love to see the shapes of their heads, and I like to play around with the intervals in between them.

I take probably a dozen each year. They tell me what their favorites are, and what they dislike. But then I choose. I try to be as open with what they say as possible. In fact, I love to know what they think.

Being an only child, it was really gratifying and lovely to be embraced by this family. There's still a ground water of affection, and support. I look back at these thirty-some pictures and it's like they're of my sisters. I can feel myself getting old with them. And I'm part of them; they're part of my love. "

Using a large eight-by-ten-inch view camera positioned at eye level, he always photographs the women in the same order from left to right: Heather, Mimi, Bebe, and Laurie. And will continue to do so.
